"Objects" is an ongoing series of studio experiments, born from my obsession with exploring new materials and working with my hands. I regularly bring these objects together (see the "Collections" project), rearranging them as I see fit in order to tell new stories.
Materials range from latex to sterling silver, wool to shredded currency.

The forms I had been drawing had become distorted body-like shapes connected by obsessive patterning. I was surprised to realize that they inherently embodied what I see as the strangeness of human connection these days. A skewing of reality, voyeuristic tendencies, physical separation even with physical proximity, searching upon endless searching.

"Evidence of Existence" is an on-going photography project. During a summer spent in northern California, discarded clothing items seemed to appear wherever I went. The idea that these things had once lived in contact with the skin of other people, and the sheer intimacy of that realization, holds me captive. I'm also interested in their shapes-strewn, flung, hung-they feel distressed, dejected, somewhat still in motion, somewhat poetic, as if remnants of their previous owner's actions might still be there, just below the surface.
I currently have about 70 photos and am considering turning them into a book.
